Time to specialize
Four subjects are compulsory for students of Grades 10 and 11. They are:
Biology or Integrated Science
English Language
Mathematics
Christian Family Life
Close to the completion of her Grade 9 year each student selects one subject from each of the five options below. These
five selections, along with the first three subjects listed above, comprise her block of subjects that she will begin in Grade
10. She will sit these eight subjects at the CXC (General) Level during her final year in school.
A variety of practical areas are available to students.
Sciences - Integrated Science, Biology, Human and Social Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Home Economics - Home Management, Food & Nutrition, Clothing & Textile
Business - EDP&M, Information Technology, Principles Of Account, Principles OF Business, Office
Administration
Art- History, Literature, Religious Education, Geography, Social Studies, Spanish
Students are first exposed to Information Technology in Grade 7.
Facilities
Science - 1 laboratory each for Integrated Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Home Economics - 1 room each for Home Management, Food & Nutrition, Clothing & Textile
Business - 2 computer rooms (25, 27 systems)
